How the crane works
The event used a fishing or crane-style minigame. The stopping position appeared random; there was no confirmed timing method involving tapping, holding, or releasing at a specific moment.
- Enter the C-3PO event area.
- Use one of the fishing/crane machines.
- A successful result raises the reward rarity.
- Collect the current reward or risk another attempt to increase its rarity.
- Landing in the red failure area normally lowers the reward by one rarity tier.
- Failing at Gold may knock you from the platform and summon a tentacle, although the tentacle now attacks less frequently.
- Shoot the tentacle until it retreats, then return to the crane.
Scrap reward values
| Rarity | Scrap points | Collections for 3,000-point paint |
|---|---|---|
| Gold | 10 | 300 |
| Diamond | 20 | 150 |
| Rainbow | 30 | 100 |
| Beskar | 40 | 75 |
| Galactic | 50 | 60 |
Collected Scrap Points counted toward the 3,000-point C-3PO base paint reward. As of v1.22, Blueprints also awarded Scrap Points, but the patch notes did not list the exact Blueprint amount.
How to unlock C-3PO
Randomly obtain all seven unique C-3PO parts from event rewards. After collecting all seven, return to the reconstructed C-3PO and interact with him.
- C-3PO parts are random drops, and all seven unique parts are required.
- A collected reward may provide scrap, a blueprint, or a C-3PO part.
- Blueprints now award Scrap Points toward the paint requirement.
- No reward rarity is currently confirmed to guarantee or significantly improve a C-3PO part drop.
- Duplicates and several attempts without a part are both possible.
C-3PO paint reward
The C-3PO base paint required 3,000 total Scrap Points. The table shows simplified collection counts when every collection is made at the same rarity and no progress is lost.
Recommended strategy
- If your priority is the seven parts, collecting more frequently may provide more reward rolls than always gambling for Galactic.
- If your priority is the 3,000-point paint reward, pushing toward higher rarities may help when you are comfortable with the risk.
- No confirmed method removes the event’s randomness.
- The best balance depends on whether you value more frequent reward rolls or more scrap per collection.
Troubleshooting
- Remove your current companion if the interaction prompt does not appear.
- C-3PO may occasionally appear invisible.
- In some cases, C-3PO may already have appeared in your lounge.
