Protocol Droids and World Missions
Four new Protocol droids, five-minute World Missions and reward crates delivered to your base.

How do I get Protocol droids?
Complete World Missions for Protocol rewards. SA-5, LOM, PZ and TDA are outside the ordinary Sandcrawler and Astromech Mission pools. Missions last five minutes and arrive every 15 minutes during the Protocol event, versus 45 minutes normally.
Watch the mission countdown, earn stars, and collect the reward crate in your base.
When to join
World Missions are scheduled to unlock September 12, 2026 at 1:00 PM Pacific (20:00 UTC). Until then, the new droids can appear in the Droidex before their mission route opens.
The Protocol launch event runs from September 12 at 1 PM Pacific through September 13 at 1 PM Pacific. The normal mission interval is 45 minutes. While the Protocol event is active, it drops to 15 minutes: three times as often. Each mission lasts five minutes. Watch the in-game event board for the active event and its countdown.
The four new Protocol droids
Each finish above Default adds 200 percentage points to the companion effect. TDA reaches 1200% at Gold, 1400% at Diamond, 1600% at Rainbow, 1800% at Beskar, 2000% at Galactic and 2200% at Stellar.
C-3PO is the fifth Protocol droid. His unique companion effect stays 2x Droid Sell Value. He does not use the standard Protocol Credit Multiplier.
Protocol blueprints are outside the normal Sandcrawler shop and Astromech Mission pools. Complete World Missions for Protocol rewards; do not wait for them in the ordinary belt rotation.
| Droid | Rarity | Default blueprint | Base income/sec | Default companion effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SA-5 | Rare | 180,000 Credits | 14 | 400% Credit Multiplier |
| LOM | Epic | 7,000,000 Credits | 105 | 600% Credit Multiplier |
| PZ | Legendary | 37,000,000 Credits | 900 | 800% Credit Multiplier |
| TDA | Mythic | 400,000,000 Credits | 4,000 | 1000% Credit Multiplier |
Protocol slots in your base
Each bay has two separate Protocol slots: one improves every income station in that bay, and one improves its crafting depot. They do not replace the 31 income stations. Production covers 11 Worker stations, Shipyard covers all nine Astromech stations including the five ship stations, and Firing Range covers 11 Battle stations.
Income bonus is 4% × rarity power × finish power. Crafting bonus is 60% × rarity power × finish power. Rarity power is 2 for SA-5, 3 for LOM, 4 for PZ and 5 for TDA. Finish power runs from 1 at Default to 7 at Stellar. Stellar TDA therefore adds 140% bay income (2.4x total) or 2100% passive crafting progress (22x total), depending on its slot.
C-3PO in an income slot gives +200% · 3x total bay income. In a crafting slot he gives +4,000% · 41x total passive crafting progress. His 2x Droid Sell Value companion perk is separate from both placement bonuses.
Buy the slots as you progress: income at Rebirth 2, 6 and 10, then crafting at Rebirth 14, 18 and 22. Each purchase also needs Credits and its earlier station unlocks.
Use the income and crafting slots inside each bay on the Base Profit Planner map. Income providers change that bay’s credit total; crafting providers show their separate boost to automatic progress.
Protocol droids themselves can be crafted at any existing depot. They do not get the 10% matching-depot time reduction that Worker, Astromech and Battle droids receive at their own depot.
| Bay | Income slot unlock | Crafting slot unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Production | RB2 · 500,000 Credits | RB14 · 11,000,000,000 Credits |
| Shipyard | RB6 · 10,000,000 Credits | RB18 · 280,000,000,000 Credits |
| Firing Range | RB10 · 400,000,000 Credits | RB22 · 3,900,000,000,000 Credits |
Compare Protocol slot bonuses
Income percentages apply to the whole bay. Crafting percentages apply to passive crafting progress at that bay’s depot. The totals include the original 1x. The companion percentages shown in the Droidex are a different effect.

|---|---|---|---|
| SA-5 | Default | +8% · 1.08x total | +120% · 2.2x total |
| SA-5 | Stellar | +56% · 1.56x total | +840% · 9.4x total |
| LOM | Default | +12% · 1.12x total | +180% · 2.8x total |
| LOM | Stellar | +84% · 1.84x total | +1,260% · 13.6x total |
| PZ | Default | +16% · 1.16x total | +240% · 3.4x total |
| PZ | Stellar | +112% · 2.12x total | +1,680% · 17.8x total |
| TDA | Default | +20% · 1.2x total | +300% · 4x total |
| TDA | Stellar | +140% · 2.4x total | +2,100% · 22x total |
| C-3PO | Default | +200% · 3x total | +4,000% · 41x total |
The four World Missions
World Missions replace the old World Quests. The previous crashed-ship, Moisture Evaporator and Hostile Takeover instructions no longer describe the current system. Daily Quests and Astromech Missions remain separate activities.
| Mission | What to do |
|---|---|
| Fish For Scrap | Use the fishing cranes at the Sarlacc pit, work through the timing meter, then pick up and turn in scrap. Six docks surround the pit. |
| Mine Rocks | Break and collect the mission rocks. Rock rewards vary by finish. |
| Eliminate Guards | Defeat guards and watch for elite guards, which award 15 mission points. |
| Defend Terminals | Protect the terminals from attacking hunters. |
Earn more stars before time runs out
The mission runs for five minutes. Everyone contributes to one shared meter. Each stage needs 200, then 600, then 1,500, then 3,000 points; the meter resets after each stage. These are successive goals, not cumulative totals. At the end, every participating player receives one crate at the level the group reached, delivered to their base.
DJ R-3X now reads 2x World Mission Progress. His World Mission crate perk also gives two copies of the same rolled blueprint when you open the crate with his perk active. The guaranteed Credits and Upgrade Chips are paid once.
| Points for this stage | Reward crate level |
|---|---|
| 200 | 1 |
| 600 | 2 |
| 1,500 | 3 |
| 3,000 | 4 |
What is in each reward crate?
Every crate awards a rolled Protocol blueprint plus the guaranteed Credits and Upgrade Chips in this table. The blueprint pool depends on the droids currently in your inventory: a candidate must cost less than the blueprint of your highest-value owned droid. Historical Droidex collection alone does not raise this ceiling.
If that filter leaves no eligible choice, the game falls back to an equal-weight choice of Default SA-5, LOM, PZ or TDA. Higher crate levels use stronger weighting toward otherwise rarer choices. A four-star crate does not guarantee a Mythic or Stellar blueprint; the eligible pool and weighted roll still apply.
With DJ R-3X active, you receive two copies of the winning blueprint. It is one selection awarded twice, not two independent blueprint rolls.
| Crate level | Credits at your income rate | Upgrade Chips |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 600 seconds of income | 200 |
| 2 | 900 seconds of income | 600 |
| 3 | 1,200 seconds of income | 800 |
| 4 | 2,000 seconds of income | 2,000 |
Protocol event Nova rewards
During the Protocol event, every 800 points of your own credited World Mission contribution earns 3 Nova Crystals from its repeatable event reward. You can claim that reward 300 times, for a maximum of 900 Nova Crystals across the event. Reaching the full cap requires 240,000 credited mission points.
These event Nova rewards are separate from the crate earned for each mission. The event progress comes from World Mission points, not from the number of Protocol droids you craft.
Mission rewards and your own income
Activity rewards can include Credits and Upgrade Chips. Some mining and guard reward pools also contain Nova Crystals. These are weighted rewards, not guaranteed drops.
Credit rewards use a duration of your own generation rate. A 30-second reward pays 30 × your Credits per second. A player generating 1 million per second would receive 30 million; a player generating 10,000 would receive 300,000 from that same reward.
The lowest fishing scrap pool contains a 30-second Credit reward with weight 80 and 5 Upgrade Chips with weight 30. That is 80/110 and 30/110 of the listed pool, not 80% and 30%.
Protocol Paint unlocks after collecting 28 Protocol entries across droids and finishes. Repeatedly crafting the same entry does not add new collection progress. World Mission Paint needs 500 completed World Missions.
What I would do first
- Check the mission countdown and join before the five-minute timer is nearly over.
- Keep DJ R-3X equipped while earning mission progress and while opening its reward crate. Choose a second companion for the activity you are doing.
- Push for the next star threshold, then return to your base for the reward crate.
- Compare a Protocol droid’s bay bonuses and companion effect before judging it by its own base income. A droid placed in a Protocol slot improves a whole bay or its depot; higher finishes improve those bonuses.
- Open your Droidex after crafting to update your collection. The four new droids shift the old page positions, and C-3PO is now the final Default card.
